I remember when I first came into fandom, specifically the Tenipuri fandom, hey everyone was nice and all, especially when it came to sharing! That’s where I first got most of my tenipuri related stuff anyway.

2 years later, people still share, but due to specific eh, policies on LJ’s part, the locking of journals is in fact essential to our own damn safety. Now, I don’t lock all my fandom related shit, but really, I don’t mind friending fandom journals for the stuff, even if I don’t know the person running it. Communities are a different matter, even though you get more privacy, but seriously, not getting to see one doujinshi is not going to kill you. Hell, one of your little circles may have downloaded it too, so why don’t you ask them.

Why do I share my stuff? Because I feel that I have to give back to the fandom, that’s why. I managed to get a lot of free stuff when I was new and unexperienced in obtaining items, but now that I do have the means to share, I am more than happy to do so, even though I am not at all obliged to do so.

I’ve scanned photosets, doujinshi, pamphlets, photobooks, even rip DVDs. I break the spine of doujinshi to share. I’ve scanlated one doujinshi, which took me about 3 hours which I could spend doing a bit more work. I spend time cleaning and resizing the doujin scans so they look nice. I get around 50 comments a doujin, and about 400downloads a doujin. Given that 50% is probably from download managers, what happen to the other 100?!

I am not obliged, and I have done my part for fandom. I don’t owe you anything, and neither do you. I can always sit back and leech of someone else. I am more than happy to do so. Unless people start showing abit more gratitude, I have no idea if I should continue with my ‘generosity’.

It rained during PE period today, so no PE. Wasted 3 hours in school waiting for that, alright. So annoying. Anyway, rain stopped in the evening so I decided to go run a bit. Did maybe 1.2km before running out of breath.

I survived the first 3 days of JC2! Things don’t look too terrible yet, except that I am really irked over my GP class, even though I am used to being alone (refers to history class). Let’s see how I can push my grades up. I have to try and remember to make sure I take down homework, if not I am pretty screwed? Group work is going to be terrible too. Rawr.

Anyway. Lots of things to do tomorrow. Must get a few hours sleep before the day starts.

I am now being  ambitious and may or may not be participating in a few writing competitions, although I am not at all interesting, or good at writing, in the least.

I can’t believe my holidays are going to be over in like, 6.5 hours. D:  I am in no school mood, and I am not exactly looking forward to going back to school. But at least I have a very handy sketch pad which is going to be accompanying me to all my History classes, because that is the one class I am totally not looking forward to. I mean, it is my contrasting subject, I’m just going it because I have to, even though I like it. *annoyed*

And now I cannot remember if I have history homework or not. Grah. I just remembered about S.E.A history, but I’ve already done it (a long long time ago) apparently, so nothing to worry there.

1. Math (given up, will continue when I settle back into school)
2. GP Grammar (given up – still have about 1/3, and am still highly insulted.)
3. GP 5 AQ (still have 2 to go)
4. Chemistry (still have 4 questions)
5. Biology
6. SEA History

I am really not liking 2008 already. The only thing good was how it started.
